Dear Northern Kentucky Players:

The Bluegrass Games are coming up soon!  See Paul Holiger's email below for a great explanation of the event.  I hope you're planning to particpate.  I'm planning to go and have room for a couple additional people if someone needs a ride.  Let me know ASAP!

In a couple additional club updates, we have purchased an additional table which gives us an even dozen tables now.  We're tentatively planning a giant round robin tournament in our new facility on September 22.  More details and entries will follow as soon as we confirm all the details.  And speaking of our new facility, we will be opening at the new facility at 4 PM on Saturday, July 21.  If people are available to help us move, please meet at NKU at 2:30 that day to help load all the equipment.

Hello TT Players & supporters -

Test yourself against players from all over Kentucky 
in the 2007 Bluegrass State Games 
in any of 29 different sport competitions. 
The 2007 Bluegrass SUMMER Games 
began on June 8 and will conclude on August 5.

(TRIVIA QUIZ: How many of the 29 Bluegrass Summer Games events are held in Kentucky's largest city - Louisville? ... Answer below.)

The Bluegrass Games offers Table Tennis players a great opportunity to compete in a real tourney without spending a lot of money. 

Many Kentuckians can point to the Bluegrass Games as 
their "first" Table Tennis Tourney and return each year to play. 
It's also a once-a-year chance to play against competitors 
who are not part of one's "regular" group, 
thus providing a real test.

(The typical format involves preliminary Round Robin groups of about 4 players followed by single elimination competition among those with the best record from each round robin group.)

As usual, a number of players are wanting to know how to enter this tourney.

(And YES, one has to be a Kentucky resident to enter.)
